Hotels In Pattaya, Thailand

You have decided to visit Asia for your next vacation and have decided to go to Pattaya, Thailand. Your flight is booked but you are still looking for a hotel. But, how do you decide which hotel to stay at?

Your decision should be based on what you plan to do while you are Pattaya. Will you be spending most of your time sightseeing, shopping or enjoying the nightlife? Most likely you will be enjoying the nightlife and will want to be located in the heart of it.

There are three main areas in Pattaya North, South, and Central and all three have their plusses and minuses. Getting a hotel in any of the three will boil down to a personal preference.

North Pattaya is in the Soi 2 area or even a little further North called Naklua. Most of the tourists here are from Europe and the nightlife is adequate but not spectacular. I rarely go to the Naklua area but I do enjoy the Soi 2 nightlife area.

South Pattaya is very good and includes the area around the infamous Walking Street. There are many hotels available from Soi 13 to Walking Street and also along the side streets between 2nd Road and Walking Street. Many are small pubs with a handful of rooms above the bar.

To me, Central Pattaya is where to stay. The location is perfect as I can walk or catch a baht bus to anywhere in a matter of minutes. Beach Road, 2nd Road or even down to Soi Buakhao are perfect locations as long as the hotel is between Central Road and Soi 13.

Most of the hotels in Pattaya are in the 2 4 star range with the occasional 5 star (Marriott) but a 2 4 star in Pattaya is definitely a cut above similar hotels in the states. I prefer the smaller, pub places that have a handful of rooms upstairs. Most are owned by a couple and really do their best to make your stay a great one.

Do your research, and look for a discount Pattaya hotel, and enjoy your stay in the Land of Smiles. It wont be hard to find your Asian hotel in Pattaya at all.

As part of your stay in and around Cambridgeshire you will more than likely want to spend a couple of days exploring the nearby horse racing town of Newmarket. Steeped in horse racing tradition and home to the Jockey Club, Newmarket is a jewel on the CambridgeshireSuffolk border.

Although technically in Suffolk, Newmarket is surrounded on three sides by Cambridgeshire, and it has a CB postcode so it would be a shame to visit the county without a quick hop over the Suffolk border to sample this delightful town.

Thankfully, due mainly to the horse racing industry there are plenty of top class hotels in Newmarket. The Rutland Arms on the High Street offers first rate accommodation with easy access to the local pubs and restaurants. The White Hart Hotel a bit further up has the convenience of being next to a taxi rank, which is handy for the racing, but the pub below can be quite lively at weekends, which needs to be taken into consideration if you are travelling with a young family.

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the High Street the Bedford Lodge hotel is situated about a mile or so down the exclusive Bury Road. The Bedford Lodge offers top class accommodation, along with a pool, gym and restaurant. A range of Spa treatments are also available at the health centre to make your stay that extra bit special.

If you are travelling on a budget there a number of decent B&Bs and Guest Houses scattered around the town and in the nearby villages such as Burwell, Exning and Chevely.

In summary, you should not have any difficulty in finding a selection of fine hotels in Newmarket. If you are visiting during May to July you should try and time it with one of the fabulous Newmarket Nights events. These combine a night at the races followed by a guest performance in the grandstand. Previous performers have included Jools Holland, Westlife and Girls Aloud and they are guaranteed to be a good night.

Hotels In Malaga, Spain

There is such a wide range of choices for hotels in Malaga, you will have no problem finding one that is just right for you. Everything from a simple youth hostel to five star luxury hotels await you in this beautiful city.

If a five star hotel is for you, try the Hotel Torrequebrada, with all the amenities you could require, including an in house casino. Other luxury hotels have private beaches, extra large rooms with terraces, tennis courts and many services such as baby sitting, concierge services, laundry and housekeeping, spas and beauty parlors, health clubs and of course, pools, usually more than one. Needless to say, you will pay for all these luxuries, so this is not the cheapest options available for a tourist.

For a really different experience, why not stay in a castle? A number of old castles in Spain have been converted to hotels and are also available for rental for weddings or business conferences. You will really experience the history of a place if you stay in a castle. If you are a history buff, this may be the perfect hotel for you.

But the less expensive options are also very nice. Wonderful old buildings are still being run as hotels, and they have the distinct advantage of being in the center of town. Many have been newly renovated and decorated, but kept in their original style. Since they are near public transportation and major attractions, you will save even more money.

If you are familiar with the hostel system, you know that they offer the most basic accommodation. If you want to
save money, and do not require more than a clean bed and a shower, a hostel is a good choice. If you are out at the beach or sightseeing all day, you may not want anything more. Since hostels are also centrally located, getting around inexpensively in the city will be easy and help you to save even more money.

So which one is for you? You must consider your own needs and what you feel comfortable with. Are you comfortable with bare bones accommodations, or do you need some upgrades? The most important component in this decision is usually budget. Go with what you can afford and then you will have more to spend on attractions. If you plan on a short holiday, you may consider a more expensive hotel since the total outlay will not be that great, but if you are staying for a while, you may have to choose a three star hotel.

Read independent reviews of the various restaurants; there are a number of websites that offer reviews by people who have stayed at the hotel. You can get an idea about how good the features the hotel offers are. No use paying for something and then finding out you didn’t even want to use it.
